Day 2: "SMART" Learning

Some of us were excited about our lesson!

Oh man today was challenging but exciting! We first got most of the tools demonstrated which their are so many! We then got to do a WebQuest which had lots of great resources! Most of them I bookmarked because I know I might need a refresher at some point! We then got broken into groups by grade level. We then were had then chance to create a lesson using one of our previous created lesson plans. Our group chose a math lesson it was about money! We created a great lesson I thought! We all stored our lesson on our flash drive because we were so proud! All the other groups did a great job too! I can't wait to start creating lessons for my classroom! Only 2 more days of training but I'm getting so much out of it!

Day 1 "Learning the Smart Board"

This is the SmartBoard that will go in my classroom!

Today was my first day experiencing the Smart Board. Its kind of overwhelming. But I feel like it will be great for my students so they can succeed in my classroom. Once we got started today all I kept thinking I'm not going to be able to do this. But once I got up their and touching the board and how easy it was I knew I will be able to create lessons. Today they showed us the basics of the Smart Board and how to set them up. I also downloaded the Smart Notebook software on my computer. It reminds me of PowerPoint in a way. I liked how today we didn't get thrown into using it we slowly went through it so it wasn't as overwhelming which was good because I was worried about that. It also helps we will be do training over the next few days. I can't wait to see what the next few days of training holds for me!
